Edaptive is very proud to announce that it has won the Transformation-Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS) contract for the CMS Center for Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Services (CMCS). This is a strategic win for Edaptive. In addition to our existing Medicare work for CMS, we will now also be working with Medicaid data and the Medicaid stakeholder community (which includes all states), and building a new core skill base at Edaptive for supporting “big data” initiatives in the federal government. Our teammates for this contract are General Dynamics and Cognosante.
The purpose of this contract is to assist CMCS in establishing a stabilized and validated T-MSIS operational platform and information system. The T-MSIS will be housed briefly (up to one year) at the CMS Baltimore Data Center in the CMS 3-zone environment, before being transitioned to the CMS Virtual Data Center (VDC). This effort will encompass a variety of IT developmental, analytical, and project management activities associated with databases and data warehouses, business intelligence, portal integration, business rules, and other IT technology disciplines. This work will support CMS’ national effort to collect a baseline set of data and to use a common expandable and sustainable platform in support of the CMS Medicaid and CHIP Business Information Solution system. In the big picture, we will be providing data management services for the Medicaid and CHIP programs, which provide health care coverage for approximately 60 million people, including more than 9 million who are dually eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare.
