Clinical Data Abstraction Center (CDAC)
Edaptive has a center dedicated to the processing and abstraction of medical records. Our services include request for medical records, receipt/storage of medical records, data abstraction, data entry, sampling coordination, validation of hospital data, Internal Quality Control (IQC) process for abstraction, tracking, liaison, reporting functions, and system modular development. We have successfully managed the abstraction, validation, and review of nearly 2.5 million medical records.
Our facility is designed specifically to host the CDAC operations and features state of the art security, environmental controls, efficient workspace, and storage.

The three primary objectives of the CDAC program:
(1) Improve the quality of care for beneficiaries by ensuring that beneficiary care meets professionally recognized standards of health care;
(2) Protect the integrity of the Medicare Trust Fund by ensuring that Medicare only pays for services and items that are reasonable and medically necessary and that are provided in the most economical setting, and;
(3) Protect beneficiaries by quickly addressing individual cases such as beneficiary complaints, hospital issued notices of non-coverage (HINNs), Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) violations (dumping), and other statutory responsibilities.
