Owings Mills, Maryland – Edaptive is proud to announce the recent win of the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Quality Incentive Program (QIP) system development effort for the CMS Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ). The ESRD QIP was the first CMS Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) program, and it serves a uniquely vulnerable patient community—those in need of dialysis services or kidney transplant. ESRD QIP assesses performance for quality measures and calculates performance scores for ESRD facilities that drive VBP for ESRD. QIP provides incentives to ESRD facilities to improve the quality of care and health outcomes for ESRD patients, while working to contain and reduce cost.
As the prime contractor, Edaptive will provide the design, development, operations and maintenance of the ESRD QIP system and data warehouse. The ESRD QIP system will support approximately 25,000 end users holding almost 20 unique roles that grant them access to, among other things, Protected Health Information (PHI)/Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data for more than 500,000 ESRD patients receiving dialysis at about 5,500 dialysis clinics. Our teammates include BellEse Technologies, LLC; Ascentia, LLC; and Optum.
