Edaptive Wins DB2 Contract
A 5-Year Contract Awarded Under The Data Management (DM) IDIQ Vehicle

Owings Mills, Maryland - The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently awarded Edaptive the CMS Database Administration (DBA) DB2 contract. The 5-year contract is to support the Office of Information Systems (OIS), which is charged with the support and management of information systems architecture, assets (hardware, software and resources), enterprise databases, and the access to data and operational systems. The current CMS DB2 database environment contains diverse sets of Medicare and Medicaid data for analytical and operational purposes, including but not limited to, utilization, beneficiary enrollment, beneficiary eligibility, provider profiles and provider credentials. The current DB2 environment includes 1050 databases comprised of more than 65,000 tables with a total size of 150 Terabytes.
As the prime contractor, Edaptive will be responsible for:
- Maintenance and quality of the DB2 database tables for CMS.
- DBA support for design, development and testing of CMS systems requiring DB2 databases.
- Maintenance of and compliance oversight for database control standards used by central database administrators.
- Developing and maintaining code supporting DBA tasks such as configuration, replication, monitoring, security, and recoverability of DB2 databases.
